If I don't find a solution, I think that my next move might be to host a PFSense instance for UDP OpenVPN and call it a day. The only semi-working workaround I've had is to add the client to a bridge which is less than ideal. Can this be achieved somehow? If not, does anyone use an alternative L2TP client that supports this? L2TP/IPSec works well once connected, however for some reason windows refuses to let you push routes on connection. Generally, my go to is OpenVPN however I have several clients with legacy systems who need a non-TPC VPN. L2TP, IPsec, EtherIP, L2TPv3, Cisco VPN Routers and MS-SSTP VPN Clients.
With all this covid work from home crap I'm having to get creative with how everyone is working. SoftEther VPN is an optimum alternative to OpenVPN and Microsofts VPN servers.
